The second great shift

I know what you are going to say, I look like such a happy mother. Well, this we'll be hard to explain, but I am not really a mother, I did give birth to this beautifull baby girl, but she isn't my child.

It happened six months ago. Me and my wife were watching tv, when suddenly everything changed. I still don't know how it happened, but one minute I was sitting on our couch, and the next, I was in a whole different place. And not only that, I could hear someone telling me to push. I saw my round belly, and I could feel some increasing pain. I pushed and pushed, until a baby pushed out of my body. It was the best feeling ever, and probably what made me cope with the changes.

"Congratulations, it is a baby girl" the woman, who I assume is a midwife, said. She taught me how to breast feed, and how to tend over my baby. I didn't tell anyone who I really was. I just pretended to actually be this woman. My husband was the manliest man you could imagine, and I was even a little afraid of him.

Imagine my surprise when I learned that I not only wasn't in a different place, but a different time. 1892, I just don't know how, but I travelled through time. "And if I am here, where's my wife? did she stay in our time, or is she here with me? she could be my baby girl" I whispered.

I might never learn where she is, I might find a way back, or not. But for now, I really feel like I have to care for my babygirl. And worst of all, I think I am pregnant again.

Travel

As I made my first wish, the genie covered me with some kind of pink dust. All I wanted was to travel around the world. As the cloud of dust disippated I found out myself in a different part of the world. "It worked" I thought. Some guy took a picture of me. I looked at him and as I was about to say "what the hell are you doing?", he kissed me. "Shit" I thought, and pulled back.

I slapped him, and complained "what the hell?". I realized my voice sounded off, Plus, why didn't I punch him, why did I slap him. I looked at my hand, and realized it wasn't mine. I looked down, and saw my new body. "I am a girl?... damn it genie" I thought. "Wait? this wasn't what you expected?" I heard her voice inside my mind. "no!" I screamed. The guy infront of me seemed scared. "Ok, let me fix this" she said. I lost sight of the world once again. Everything looked pink. She had my eyes covered in some kind of membrane.

After it faded away, I felt a little bit different. But I had no time to think about it, I saw my boyfriend lying on the ground. "Shit, sorry love" I told him. I had just slapped him for no reason. "I don't know what came on to me". I helped him up, and we went back to our place.

It was weird finding out the year was 1950. I don't know why I feel like I lived in the 21st century. But who cares, my boyfriend is perfect in bed. And we both get to travel a lot. Specially me, since as an actress I get to go to different countries.

The second great shift

Ok, I survived the first great shift. I was one of the very few not affected by it. My wife wasn't so lucky though. She ended up inside a 12 year old boy, while a priest ended up inside my wife's body. We got divorced of course, and the priest, inside my wife, became a nun. I know, really sad story.

But that's not the story I am here to tell. Years after the great shift, a second one hit the world. This time, I don't know how many people were affected, all I know is that this time I did become affected by it.

The first great shift, swapped the bodies of million of people around the world. But the second was a little bit different, it swapped the bodies of people around space and time.

Imagine my surprise when I suddenly find myself on a horse in the 1700. I lost control and fell. My horse kept running away. I stood up not knowing where I was. I had a pouncing headache. As I reached my head, I realized something was different. I was afraid to look, so with my other hand I examined my legs. "Shit" I said.

There was no denying it, I was a woman. At the time I didn't know I was in another time. So I kept walking, looking for help. "How can I help a young lad?" a man asked me with a heavy irish accent. "Yes, my horse ran away... and I hit my head" I replied. I too had a thick accent myself. "I know you, you are the wife of Ceallaigh" he said, "I'll take you to him".

He got his own horse, and helped me on it. I tried not to hold him, but I was scared of falling down, so I hugged him. I could feel my breasts pressing against his back.

As I saw the scenery, I realized I was indeed in a different place and time. I knew I was stuck, if people from my same time couldn't get back to their own lifes, how were I going to travel in time back to my own.

"This is it, your home" he said. I carefully jumped off the horse. "I'll be sure to tell my husband you helped me" I said. As I entered what was supposed to be my home, I saw a man repeating to himself, "not again, not again". "Ceallaigh?" I asked. "Sorry, I don't know who that is..." he responded. "Let me guess, you are not from this time" I said. "I am not even a man... well... I was a boy... and before that a woman" he said. I could relate. I hugged him.

"I am not really a woman either, I am from the 21st century" I explained. "So am I" he said with tears in his eyes. "I don't even know my name here... but back there I was known as John" I said. He stood up and shook my hand. "Nice to meet you John" he said, "I like that name, it reminds me of my husband, before the shift" he said. "Wait... you were a woman married to John, and then a boy after the great shift?" I asked. "Yes" he responded. "Amy?" I asked. "John?" he replied. We kissed each other. We were finally together again.

"I don't care if I am a woman now, and you are the man of the house. We are together. And that's all that matters" I said. We had sex right afterwards. Being the time this is, I got pregnant with our first child. And although life was great, and we never suffered another shift, everytime I give birth I wish we had 21st century medicine.
